Garza and Floyd to DL, Ryu and Ruggiano Up

Postby deerayfan072 » Wed Apr 09, 2008 7:10 pm

Garza and Floyd both went to the DL today. Floyd with a tear in his knee %-6

Ryu was called up, but I think Niemann will actually get the start against Baltimore and not Ryu in 5 days. Ruggiano got called up to take Floyds place. I am excited to see him up and hope they give him a shot in RF ;-D

His first time playing RF in the Trop. It takes time to get used to the dome in there. He had a nice double though and scored our only run. They said that when we play lefties he will play RF and Gomes with DH. When we play righties it will be Haynes in RF and Hinske as DH

Encouraging sign that Niemann will be the guy to pitch on Sunday though. Ryu came out of the pen and the announcers were saying that Ryu will be used out of the pen because of how much we have used those guys recently and that they will need to get another starter for Sunday (Niemann O:-) )

Nice. A starting rotation of Kazmir, Shields, Garza, Niemann, and Jackson is as talented with pure stuff as anybody in the league can throw out there. The makeup and finished product is still not there but actual stuff is super talented.

After this year how do you see it?
Kaz will be gone more than likely and EJax does not seem long term.

I see Price and Talbot.
But who knows, Niemann could be put in the pen they could deal Garza who knows.

Talbot not going to be in the rotation

Kazmir won't be gone for at least 2 more years and he may not even be gone than. Jackson will be traded most likely unless he keeps it up
