Do I let this trade stand as commish?

Trade was accepted today, 2 day wait time. Yahoo standard 5 by 5, 12 teams.

Carlos Delgado and Chein Ming Wang
for
Alfonso Soriano and Erik Bedard

I'm usually not one to complain about trades, especially in a free league such as this, but there's a part of me that doesn't feel right either.

Person sending Soriano and Bedard is a total newbie. The person sending Delgado and Wang is fairly new to fantasy baseball but knows a good bit of the sport.

What to do?

Thats a clear Veto. Soriano and Bedard are top players, Delgado shouldn't even be owned, and wang is a mid/lower end starter.

The party receiving Soriano and Bedard stated that the stats thus far clearly are in the other team's favor, which is not totally untrue but to me weak at best for an argument.

The trade got vetoed this AM and was put up again in about an hour.

Let the guy taking Wang and Delgado state his case. You didn't state what your league rules are either. If the guy wants Wang, why is it your place to stop him? It's a lopsided deal, but it's not going to crush your league. I could easily understand someone arguing that Wang is better than Bedard now. Hip issue for Bedard, studly offense for Wang, and Wang is looking untouchable right now.

Soriano for Delgado is another story, but so what. This isn't like Joba for Crawford or anything. Bedard's missed two starts already. Let the newcomer try and learn on his own if it's not going to kill the league.

I would veto. Soriano is stud OF and Bedard will be a top 8 SP. But, I also feel that Wang is a top 12 SP. It wouldn't be so bad if Carlos Delgado wan't in the mix... A rookie player should be told what to do and what not to do. You just need to look after him this season and help him out...

you have to veto this one. And for the manager that said Delgado is playing better than Soriano right now, well Gabe Kaplar is playing better than Mcab too. Doesnt mean that trade wouldnt get vetoed.

I agree this trade should be vetoed, but in no way should a 'rookie player' be told what to do/not to do by a manager in the same league as him. This almost in itself acts as collusion. I would steer the rook to some useful websites for info, but not guide him along. Although you may feel you are helping him, would you tell him to make a pickup that you would make yourself? I doubt it.
