First off, nice pitching staff. I'm sure you knew that already though. Way I see it you have two choices. Trade some off for better hitters and balance your team, or go all out pitching, and pick up some speedsters to grab SBs and or OBP/Avg. Or a third option is take a chance on some young hitters and hope they will fill in for you. Good potential though. you will compete for HRs too with Holliday Mags and Burrell isnt too bad.

I would look to dealing Kuroda/Sheets and Saunders for some better bats...As much of a fan I have to be of Sheets being he is from my home state, he has issues that could come up again this season so I think dealing him at his peak would benefit you especially with your pitching staff as it is.

Other than that, I think you have a pretty nice and balanced team...

if you have time, help?

I would trade Sheets and another pitcher to acquire some more power, possibly a 1B or an OF (deal Nady the other way).

Thanks for your suggestions. I did some dealing this week and acquired some power. I was offered a trade for Soria and Furcal and the guy offered me Verlander and Miguel Cabrera. I had to accept that trade and filled my roster with waiver wire aquisitions. I added Yuniesky Betancort at short and Joe Borowski to fill my closer roll. Not to mention some guy through Robinson Cano to the free agency pool because he hasn't been producing. Maybe it's just me, but these guys are handing the league away. With the recent roster moves my team looks like this:

C-Russell Martin
1B-Alex Gordon
2B-Robinson Cano
SS-Yuniesky Betancort
3B-Miguel Cabrera
OF-Matt Holliday
OF-Magglio Ordonez
OF-Pat Burrell
UTIL-Todd Helton
Bench-Raul Ibanez, Ken Griffey Jr.

SP-Johan Santana
SP-Cole Hamels
SP-Ben Sheets
SP-Justin Verlander
SP-John Maine
SP-Hiroki Kuroda
SP-Joe Saunders

MRP-Pat Neshek
MRP-Tony Pena

CP-Takashi Saito
CP-Bobby Jenks
CP-Brandon Lyon
CP-Joe Borowski

It doesn't seem fair does it? I'm thinking about dealing a starting pitcher for an upgrade at closer but I'm not sure which way to go. Possibly Ben Sheets and Joe Borowski and try to couple them in a trade to upgrade. What do you think?

Drop Borowski and see if Sherrill or Moylan is available. I would not rely on Borowski if he was the last closer out there. I would even take Lyon over Borowski.

help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=29&t=336953&sid=5a3a6157a6463a2c27328b8f717880bb#p2696452

I was able to put Borowski on the DL and picked up Moylan...I may still drop Borowski but I don't have to at the moment. Maybe I can get somebody to trade for him first!

One of the better teams I have seen. Its way to early to drop a player like Cano, good pickup there. Good trade getting Miguel.
