Rafael Soriano

Soriano had soreness in his elbow after pitching on Saturday and Sunday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "I'm just not taking any chances," manager Bobby Cox said about not making him available for Monday's game.
Spin: It was previously reported that the Braves were giving him the day off, but the report of elbow soreness is new and a concern after he missed time in spring training due to the same problem. While the ailment is likely minor, it's something to watch closely.

Soriano has had some arm issues before

Who's next in line if Soriano gets hurt? Is it Moylan?

I heard Acosta might get a shot. Leave Moylan in the setup.

Who knows for sure though?

Placed on the DL
From Rotoworld:
Apr. 9 - 9:25 pm et
Braves placed RHP Rafael Soriano on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 7, with right elbow tendinitis.

It's going to be hard to take the Braves seriously going forward when it comes to Soriano. This is the second time they've downplayed a supposedly very minor problem. Peter Moylan will be the favorite for saves for the next couple of weeks. Manny Acosta should take over the eighth inning role.

Just dropped him for the Big Unit. High hopes I had for Soriano, oh well.

Not sure what this means, but here it is:

Rafael Soriano is battling elbow soreness, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
He experienced the soreness after pitching Saturday and Sunday against the Mets, and that
is why he sat in favor of Manny Acosta on Monday. Manager Cox said he is not taking any
chances, and decided to go with Acosta in the closer's role. Soriano notably suffered from
elbow soreness during training camp, and we will continue to monitor him.

didn't he have a TJ surgery not long ago? could it be possible he needs another one?

anyways, it might be smart to pick up and stash Gonzo in your DL slot.

Moylan should be the guy. Acosta closed the game on monday cause Moylan did pitch the 3 days before.
