I feel fine benching guys like Adrian Gonzalez who are in the top 100 but not the top 50. I am yet to bench Soriano through his bad slump. Holliday was slow for week 1, but I stuck with him this week (never in doubt) and it has paid off, he's caught fire. I don't think you ever bench a top 10 or 20 hitter if he is healthy, but the more borderline guys, top 50-100, if you have an adequate backup then it's fine.

Ortiz officially has to hit himself back into my line-up. He looks like his knee is really bothering him. He doesn't seem to crouch down enough to generate power. They showed him in his first ab tonight and he was bending his knee, jacked a ball deep but foul. The next times he came up to hit, though, he wasn't bending his leg as much. And he was limping when he feebly grounded out in his last ab. :-t

Yeah, I generally agree with jags, but Ortiz is really starting to worry me both as a fan and an owner
