I start 2 C and have B Molina & Ruiz
For my catcher I really only want a good avg. and not much else except maybe some runs.
I cannot help but think about what Jason kendall said during spring training this year, "I am seeing things for the first time after my eye procedure".
Kendall has always been a great contact hitter but he is flat raking right now, is this the start of a suberb seasons wil the Brewers?

I picked him up for this week during V-Mart's convalescence. The guy can hit, and is knocking the ball all over the park right now, so go with the hot hand.
Keep wreves in General Talk in 2011!

I'd expect something like his 2006 numbers, the first half of 2007 was just a really bad slump.

Would you take Kendall over Ruiz?
I like Ruiz this year for about 15 HR and around a 270 avg. but if Kendall can hit around 290 with more runs, I would rather have that.

I'd rather have Ruiz than Kendall, the lack of HR is just painful.

I read somewhere that he had vision correction surgery in the offseason and says he is seeing the ball better than he has in a long time. Maybe he will return to .300

i would fully expect a .280+ AVG from him with decent runs, bad RBI, anemic HR and a handful of SB. That just isn't all that valuable. You can pick him up and ride him while hot but don't make him a long term solution at C.
