No. :-t

Plenty of guys still got good value on the likes of Soria, Capps, Sherrill, etc. so I don't know if that's entirely true.

Are closers not getting enough work in ST?

It is normal, a lot of bullpen guys struggle in april every year.

I still don't understand why teams go with certain players as their closers but have a bazooka armed lights out setup man. Switch them around

Closers aren't really anymore important than setup guys. In fact your best RP probably should be someone you can use in the 7th or 8th with runners on instead of the closer who comes in with bases empty all the time.

So much for the people who brag about not being in the closer runs.

Yeah because Putz and Rodriguez are looking really good now...

There was like a testosterone-fest in one thread I saw where people were bragging how low they took their first closer. They usually had Borowski. I think you actually have to have one good/decent closer, some of the junk ones are drafted low for a reason.

Well I'd never draft Borowski or Jones, that is just a mistake.

No, I wouldn't either.
I'm a big fan of drafting Broxton and Bell for those sweet sweet ratios, and if they get the closing job then bonus!
Borowski and Jones are sort of the opposite of that.

For every owner that's breathing easy with Joe Nathan there's one that wasted a pick on Brad Lidge or BJ Ryan. Things might be a mess right now, but it's early in the season and a few undrafted or late round gems will emerge and a few big names will end up worthless, it always happens that way.

Right now I'm sitting on Joe Blow, Accardo, Scot Shields, Brian Wilson, Sherril, and Joba. I'm thinking of sitting them all except the last two until things calm down.

I drafted K-rod and Soria and picked up Sherrill off of ww about 2 weeks before the season started. I ended up trading Sherrill and the next night Rodriguez got hurt. Now I'm stuck with just Soria(weekly lineups). I'm closely monitoring the situations in Seattle, Los Angeles and Atlanta to see who get the saves opps.
