Don't worry. Seems to be a disgruntled Yahoo employee...

Jul 21 LaPorta had two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 win at Minnesota.
Advice: LaPorta was considered a major prospect but has yet to pan out. Fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere since it's hard to believe he will figure out major league pitching anytime soon.

Jul 15 1B Matt LaPorta has been getting consistent playing time since his recall from Class AAA Columbus, which coincided with the trade of 1B Russell Branyan. That consistent playing time has resulted in a much more productive LaPorta, who since his recall is hitting .357, with three doubles, four home runs and 11 RBIs in 42 at bats

Kirk Gibson refused to name a closer between Juan Gutierrez and Chad Qualls, probably because he doesn't want to publicly acknowledge that he's relying on either one. Gutierrez is the preferred fantasy option right now, but I wouldn't want either of those ERA/WHIP grenades anywhere close to my lineup unless I was truly desperate for saves.

Fri, Jul 23 Buster Posey extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a pair of hits and an RBI in Thursday's 3-0 win over Arizona.

Advice: Posey is hitting .438 (28 for 64) with six homers and 20 RBIs during the streak, which has made him a serious contender for NL Player of the Month honors. The young catcher looks locked in at the plate right now, and has the talent to at some point challenge Joe DiMaggio's record of 56 straight games with a hit.

Sure, but can he match the .406 Ted Williams hit in '41? O:-)

(Chris) Perez threw a scoreless ninth against the Yankees Tuesday to pick up his 10th save of the year.
Recommendation: ... Perez has only picked up three saves since Kerry Wood went on the DL 10 days ago, but that has been because of a lack of opportunity...

Yeah right.
3 saves in 10 days means that he is on pace to get 50+ saves in a full season.
Not good enough, huh?
Ok, the guy is not really into fantasy.
But he is not really into math either.
There was one double header, and Cleveland played 12 games in 12 days since the break, so it's not 10 days.
I assume the guy has only 10 fingers so he stuck at 10.
Kerry Wood went on the DL on the 12th, but I guess that number was way over his head, cause it's way too much to count on fingers, even for "el pulpo".
I always wonder how on earth these idiots get a job at all.

Someone's not fooling around anymore...

FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal says the Braves remain in the hunt for Cody Ross and that two other teams are "coming hard."

Because outfielders with 730 OPSs don't just grow on trees.

I like how the comment was all zing, plain and simple.

Wed, Jul 28

Breslow collected his seventh save of the year Wednesday against the Rangers, relieving Michael Wuertz with one out in the ninth and striking out both batters he faced.

Recommendation: Wuertz originally got the save chance with Andrew Bailey hurting, but Wuertz gave up two hits and a run, and Breslow was brought in. (Rotowire.com)

Seventh save of the year? Um, it was his first... :-?

Brandon Inge was claimed and pulled back off waivers, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.

With the Tigers 9 1/2 games out in the AL Central, Inge could have been a trade possibility had he cleared waivers. Perhaps Detroit will instead move Jhonny Peralta, who has yet to go on waivers but is likely to clear later this month.

About 20 minutes later....
FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal now reports that Brandon Inge has yet to be placed on waivers.

Thanks a bunch, Ken. There's a good chance Inge will be claimed if he's put on waivers later this month. He's only owed another $1.5 million and he's a free agent at season's end, so he'd be a very modest commitment for a team to take on.
