This year I drafted Edgar Renteria. I swore two years ago I'd never draft him again, and this year I especially thought that, now that he's back in the AL, that I would avoid him. But the vagaries of the draft and an ill-timed run on SS left me with few options. I picked him up, thinking at the time that he’d be serviceable – he is, after all, hitting in that stacked Detroit lineup.
Well, not even two weeks into the season I’m already regretting my choice to slam my own hand in the car door – again! E-Rent is hitting an appalling 6-29 with one walk, five Ks and an anemic one RBI. It looks like yet another miserable season at SS for me.
Is there anyone on your roster that you’ve sworn off drafting, but who somehow ended up on your roster this year?
Kerry Wood and Jeremy Bonderman have made an appearance on the same roster of one of my teams. I took Bonderman in the 17th and Wood in the 19th so at least they cause any major damage, I wouldn't have pride standing in the way of dropping one of my first 7-8 picks.

so what do i do, pick up gomez after a 2 stl game. now mclouth is on a tear and on another team
not sure how that fits. Anyway I took Cain again this year after swearing I wouldn't touch him again b/c my league count BB and K/BB and every time he pitches I lose at least 4 points. Ask me how that is going this year.

Jhonny Peralta. I took him as my starting SS a few years ago when it looked like he was gonna have a great year, and he was atrocious. I swore off taking him again. So of course, I end up with him on my team again this season. It's not that he's horrible, just particularly frustrating for me.
I thought this thread was about Hunter Pence for a moment there.
That's easy, Jason Bay. When you think he's a bargain in the 6th round of a 20-team league, well, he really isn't, unless he becomes waiver wire fodder, which is really just a matter of opinion these days.
