Im thinking of trading Moises Alou, and Juan Gonzalez, for Shawn Green, and Kenny Lofton? do you think this is a good trade?

my outfield consists now of...Torii hunter, Brian Giles, and Jay gibbons, with Preston Wilson as a utl

I really need runs and steals...and shawn green can give me some rbi's

I do it. I think that Alou is washed up. But you never know. You are trading away two guys that spend almost as much time on the bench with an Icepack as they do on the field. And you are getting One guy who has not reached his potential(Green) and another that is overacheiving(Lofton). But I think that Lofton has an opportunity to overacheive all year long in that lineup. That will give you three great OF's that will play consistently in Green, Hunter, and Lofton... I do it in a heartbeat! ;-D

I agree - I'd do this trade. If all four players play to their maximum potential, Alou and Gonzalez might be a bit better, but that's a big, big if. By taking Green and Lofton, you get two excellent players (agree that Lofton could well keep up this pace, although Green won't reach the pre-season expectations many had of him), and above all, unload two players who could conceivably be disastrous.

Good deal for you.
