Is there a way for the network admin to find out who is visiting what websites?

Depends on the network. If all the traffic is running through a halfway decent proxy then it is fairly simple, the proxy typically records all requests and logs them with the IP/MAC address the request came from. If the network is a more straightforward direct connect to the internet it is a little tougher but still possible.
