We are kidding, but we don't really know what is going on with him yet. He stayed in defensively for another half inning, so it doesn't look super serious.

I agree. Or his owner in my fantasy league can trade him to me for Xavier Nady and Nate McClouth. ;-)

I told the guy in my league who owns Jeter to come view this thread. He then released Jeter to the waiver wire, and I have #1 waiver wire priority. It's a win/win for me. :-D

Per Rotoworld:
Derek Jeter will miss at least one game with a strained left quad, but he's not expected to land on the disabled list.
Wilson Betemit will fill in for Jeter on Tuesday and possibly for the rest of the week. The Yankees may call up Alberto Gonzalez to help out defensively if they don't think Jeter will be back within a few days

I picked up Keppinger on the market to fill in for Jeter for a game or two. Hopefully this isn't one of those nagging injuries that plagues him all season.

I just traded for Jeter and now he goes down with an injury. With his injury and news that Harden will lose his 2nd start that kills my chances for a W this week, these are the times that I hate weekly lineups!! :-C

WTF? Now they are saying it is his groin? I'll never trust the Yankee organization again.

There is an outside shot that they could slide A-Rod over to SS.
