Is this trade vetoable??

Postby wingman3110 » Mon Apr 07, 2008 12:50 pm

Im the commish for a 11 team 5x5 nonkeeper roto league. This trade was just accepted in my league today.

Team A gets: Matt Holliday and Pudge Rodriguez. Then drops Glaus.

Team B gets: Joe Mauer, Roy Oswalt, and Jason Bay.

So is the trade vetoable. Why or why not???

thanks for your help

Ok, if its not vetoable, clearly Team A is getting the better deal, correct?

IMO, yes. But it is not unbalanced enough for a veto.

team A is getting the better end of the deal, but that doesnt mean that team b is doomed. it appears a need or two has been filled.

Not even close to vetoable. It all depends on team's needs, etc.

Trades get vetoed most times b/c owners feel that they could do a better deal for the player most desired in the trade. Be careful with the veto power, you don't want to turn your leaque into looking at all deals with a microscope. Unless a trade is obvious collusion, you should just let owners run their teams. That is why we all do fantasy, to make trades, etc.
