Have the last pick in a 12 man league. Not super happy about it but what are you going to do. Anyways, it's a points based scoring not roto. Pretty standard except power is at a premium, 5 pts for homeruns and -.5 for strikeouts. I've projected the top players at each position and Bret Boone isn't far behind Soriano at second. Thinking about taking Boone and the best available SS at the turn assuming nobody drops into my lap. The top shortstops won't last until my next set of picks. I'm having a hard time taking Boone this high but the numbers don't lie and I like the idea of a strong middle infield. Thoughts? My projected numbers on Boone are .290 32 100-110 15.

I'm projecting Boone with a few less HR, maybe around the 25-30 range and more RBI, 115-120. My reasoning is that with the all around speed and lineup improvement the Mariners added he will have more opportunities with runners on base and be able to knock in runs off doubles.
My projections being slightly off arent of much relevance though, seems like you have a sound strategy.
