I'll take 3 saves, 7 K's in 4 innings, how about you? Seriously though, I drafted him as my second closer, and am thinking he may be my late-round-turned top 10 RP this year. Last couple of years I struck gold on Bj ryan in 2006 and J. Valverde last year! The only problem is the royals may not give him enough chances, but until then, ALL ABOARD !!!

That's why I laugh at people who take someone like K-Rod in the real early rounds..then I take Soria in the later rounds
I love people who don't bother with closers on bad teams..Chad Cordero had like 37 saves on Washington last year. The thing with a team like KC, is that when they do win, it's usually close games..so that = more save opps.
Yeah, drafted him late, like 13th or 14th round after grabbing Rivera in the 10th and he's been downright nasty. Its been tough choosing which one to start since we only start 1 RP, but I'm sure I can unload Rivera on one of the Yankee dopes, I mean fans, in my league before too long if I need the roster spot.
I had him last year, was one of his biggest fans. I think he finishes as a top 10 closer this year. Took him in the 12th, as my first closer with gregg, sherrill, and c j wilson. i got the crappy team closer market covered. Truth is though if those guy stay health 3 out of 4 will have 30+ plus saves.
I am in the Soria fan club. I drafted him late in every league I am in except for 1.
When I draft closers I don't really care what team they play for as long as they don't kill me in ERA and WHIP and give me some Ks when they get in. Soria's roto game is excellent.
Yesterday the first batter he faced he threw 3 different pitches for strikes.
heck yes. got him in the 17th round as my first closer after everyone was done over-paying for their saves. (my other RP's include lidge, accardo, and rauch.) i've seen him close each of his games on MLB extra innings, and he has great stuff and an aggressive mentality on the mound. I'm guessing he'll be the royals' lone all-star this year.
I couldn't agree more. I just don't get the guys who draft closers so early. I drafted in half my leagues sometimes after guys like Gagne and Percival were off the board. I'm guessing Soria will be a great value pick for a lot of cafe members this year.

You better be careful with statements like this, there is a lot of Billy Butler man love going on around this place lately and you might get people upset.
