2008 Minor League thread

Well I thought it might be nice to just have a thread to post whatever prospects are doing on that given day with out just making a new thread everytime someone wants to post stats. Thats not to say if you want to start a thread on some prospect you like that you can't, this is more to just post stats or some quick talk about the season if anyone wants to.

So anyways some prospects stats that I've noticed so far:

Longoria: 0-10 0bb/4K - I wish he would of gotten off to a better start so I wouldnt be stuck with Aybar/Hinske on the Rays

Bruce: 2-14 0bb/5k - rough start

Kershaw: 3ip 2h 1er 2bb 4k - I hear they are likely to take is easy with him in case they need him in the 2nd half

Maybin: 4-10 3bb/2k 1-3b & 2hr 1sb - If he keeps this up he will be in AAA or the majors in a month or two

McGee: 6ip 3h 0er 0bb 7k - Love to see the control there

W. Davis: 5ip 7h 4er 2bb 1k - Not the best start to the season

Rasmus: 5-15 0bb/3k 1sb - Solid start so far

Pretty good pro debut for good Canadian Phillipe Aumont, top pick of the Mariners last year, in A-ball.

Aumont - 4IP 0H 1BB 4K

Matt Wieters with 2HR already.

Wieters - 5AB 3H 2HR 1BB

Pretty good debut for Rick Porcello too.

Porcello - 5IP 1H 2BB 3K

I can't help it the Rays have a lot of top prospects.

It is a shame too. It seems like it was just yesterday that I saw him destroy the High A league here with the Kinston Indians. He was absolutely awesome for those 2 months that I got to see him pitch 4 years ago.
