Decisions, Decisions...

Postby Arlo » Sun Feb 22, 2004 3:25 pm

Every draft day, it's the same thing: decisions, decisions. A-Rod or Pujols at number one? Is Ryan Wagner or Fernando Rodney a better choice for cheap saves? Draft by scarcity or overall value?

The latest edition of Point of View article takes a look at a few of these choices, and examines factors that should be considered when making decisions. All of the calls are close, so there should be some interesting debate...

I had Hunter last year and he sat on the bench most of the season (10 team league). His HR's would have been a nice surprise, if he had hit for a decent enough average or stolen enough bases to be worth starting, but for the most part he stunk. He should rebound this year, but if he plays like he did last year, I'd rather not draft him at all.

I had Hunter as a keeper last season in a points league where we have individual slots for LF, CF, and RF. Likewise he spent most the season riding the pine for me. Even when he played well last season he was terribly inconsistent. All I know is thank god I managed to nab Vernon Wells from the FA draft last season! ;-)

PS- Guess who I'm keeping this year.

Nice Article.
