Guardado or Hoffman..........

Postby shuffcard » Sun Feb 22, 2004 3:15 pm

I have both in a cbs H2H points league & would like to trade one of them either for another starting pitcher or a hitter.

Who do you expect to have the best year. I really like both of them. I'm comfortable w/ hoffman b/c he was able to come back at the end of last year and guardado will get a lot of chances in seatle.

What do you think??????

Personally i like Hoffman...but if you're not a gambling man, the safe choice would be Guardado.

Go with Eddie

I say Guardado. There's another thread here about Hoffman having a 40% tear in his rotator cuff. That's enough for me to bump him down a bit. Guardado is solid and Safeco Field is a great pitcher's park.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

Every day Eddie

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

Go with Eddie, Hoffmans injury sounds way too risky.

I'll take another angle and say Guardado would give you more trade value.

I'd keep Guardado and trade Hoffman.
