Could this be the beginning of the return of a servicable Colon?
Bartolo Colon, SP BOS News: Bartolo Colon struck out five and allowed one hit in five scoreless innings for Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday night. The former AL Cy Young Award winner, who signed a minor league deal with Boston during the offseason, walked one and faced just 16 batters. He threw 45 of his 74 pitches for strikes and topped out at 96 mph. "I know I'll be pitching again in five days," Colon said through an interpreter. "I'm not sure if it will be here or with the big club. It's their decision. Whatever management wants me to do, I'll be more than happy to accommodate them. But my arm feels good. I feel healthy." Pawtucket beat the Indianapolis Indians 3-0.
Analysis: Colon showed the Red Sox exactly what they wanted Thursday, but the fact of the matter remains the team just doesn't have a spot in the rotation for the injury-prone right-hander. He will likely remain in the minors for a few more starts and give the Red Sox a little more time to assess their situation. Colon could end up being a decent mixed league Fantasy option, if or when he gets the call to the show.
Yeah - I saw the same update today, but somebody already had him on their team... if he cracks that rotation, he's a no. 4 starter in most leagues if he's throwing like that. He wasn't even hitting 90 mph last season.
10-Team H2H Std. 5x5

While I agree that his arm seems to be back in shape, I seriously doubt the rest of him ever will be. Even if he does make the rotation I have a hard time seeing him get more then 6-10 starts before something breaks down.
On a side note, I was looking at his profile on sportsline, and they have his weight listed as 245.

Yeah, and Jimmy Rollins is 6'1''
She said always remember never to trust me She said that the first night that she met me She said "there's gonna be a time when I'm gonna have to go with whoever's gonna get me the highest."
Man, yahoo is awful. I don't understand why people don't come to sportsline. These players are always on the rosters. Anyways, I don't see Colon sticking around if he did make the club. Do you think this will hold back Bucholz though?
