I am ignorant of his abilities...please enlighten me.

How good is this guy?

Is he likely to stay up when Gallardo gets back in a week or 2?

He has great stuff. Throws a good mid 90s fastball with a hard curve ball.

Pitched very well everywhere he's been. But with a lot of highly talented pitchers, he has had a tough time staying healthy. Some times has control problems. Overall, he should be very solid as long as he stays on the mound. I think Bush, not Parra, will pitch himself out of the rotation when Gallardo comes back.

Thanks for the input.

What type of injuries has he been plagued with so far in his young career?

He was pretty magic in his last two minor league stops, both had a 9 K/9.
I would be weary longer term with him because he has shown he really can't stay fit.
On the very short term he has San Fransisco next so make sure you pick him up for that start. He will crush them.

I have two trade offers with Parra involved in the trade forum. Your thoughts on the deals would be greatly appreciated....
