What does "Ehime" mean?

Looking at FA's in Yahoo and pulled up Akinori Iwamura and his listed birthdate is "Feb 9, 1979 Ehime". Now I assume it is something like estimate or something but ????. Anyone know what Ehime stands for?

Ehime is the province in Japan where he was born.
