I liked mlb.com's version last year, but is too big on my monitor this year (have to scroll to get info). Just tried out ESPN's tracker, and like it much better.
I agree that gameday has gotten just too large, you have to scroll up and down way too much. There was a small thread about this a few days ago at viewtopic.php?f=7&t=330874, including looking at a few other tools.
Also, check out the mlb gameday blog at gameday.mlblogs.com Here is a quote in one of the comments:
We have a "Gameday Mini" mode planned for release soon that will address the larger footprint.
I'm not impressed with the way mlb.com does software development. Seems like there is no human factors consideration, and they seem to just code and throw it out there instead of planning and beta testing. But at least we know they are working on it and there is hope for improvements.
There are a few things with the New York Yankees that never change. That's pride, tradition, and most of all, we have the greatest fans in the world. -Derek Jeter, 9/21/08 -- last words from old Yankee Stadium
I like CBS - it's simple and effective. The ESPN gamecast thing is fine, but I don't need the "fancy" animations. Just gimme the stats in an organized fashion that's easy to read.
