I think Matsui is very underrated going into this year, and starting out in the 8-hole means that he'll be even more so, at least until he starts putting up numbers.
You can think of him hitting 8th, or you can think of him hitting behind Cano and Posada, who are the 3 and 4 hitters for many teams.
