I was happy as heck when I traded him in a package for Bj upton and tim lincecum..
Berkman slump was 2 much for me

I'd take Berkman over Upton in a redraft. I think he just had a slow first half of '07...he was very good after the break. I like him this year. I think he can hit 40+ HR's again with an OPS around .950.

That's pretty much a no-brainer trade IMO...especially if it's a keeper. You don't have to be sour on Berkman to pull the trigger on that one.

He's an annual staple. I landed Berkman in the fourth round of a ten team CBS 5X5 draft and I considered it the steal of that draft. Consistent power, a strong batting average, an improving lineup, plus I get to enjoy one last year of OF eligibility.

A perfect summary of all the reasons to like Berkman this year. Last time I checked, 32 isn't THAT old.

Some guy in my league offered me berkman for Chone Figgins.....i was all over that one.
