I would go with Hoffman personally.

I think the Padres will give him more chances than Kolb will get with the Brewers.

The only question with Hoffman is will he hold up coming off an injury. If it wasn't for the injury "concern" i don't think this choice would even be close.

Article in Rotoworld

Postby MikeD22 » Sun Feb 22, 2004 12:20 am

Just read the following in Rotoworld;

"It was a good offseason," he said. "I was able to do the normal things I'm used to and just get a head of steam going into the spring." Hoffman still has a partially torn rotator cuff, but since he'll only be asked to pitch two of three innings per week, there's a good chance that he'll make it through the season healthy"

8-o Don't exactly know what 2 of 3 innings per week means, is that during pre-season or the regular season????

GM Kevin Towers predicts at least 48 saves from Hoffman, who missed five months of the 2003 season recovering from his second shoulder surgery in four months. "Hoffy's been the most impressive guy I've seen this winter," said assistant trainer Jim Daniel. "He's been throwing the heck out of the ball."

I guess you have to take everything you read with a grain of salt, though. ;-)

Hoffman will get a lot more chances to close out games then Kolb plus he's a lot better IMO.
