I don't understand why a cut on the forehead would prevent a guy from playing the next day.
mclovin would probably want to play but the team probably will keep him out so he can put his head back on. from what i heard it was a pretty hard crash. precautionary measures and letting the stitches kinda do their work before he goes out and undoes them.
Nate McLouth was not seriously hurt beyond the cut above his eye, and will likely play in the majority of Pittsburgh’s games this week. In only 19 September at bats he stole five bases, more than any previous month this year.

Good news! I hope he can at least give me half of the week he just had on my bench
What's the consenus on Nate for next year? He faded a bit in the second half, but his overall numbers are Corey Hart-ish 2007. Where would you rank Nasty Nate amongst OFs?

This guy says hi:
i looked at a lot of early projections and predictions from spring and a lot of people were pretty close and pretty much called similar #s. only place where he fell short was in the SB category.
.280 20 hr 80 rbi 25 sb 90 runs I'm thinking he'll top 30sb's... 100 runs, 20 hrs, 80 rbis and 35 sbs - ceiling His average won't be that great (maybe .275ish?), maybe 15 HRs, and 35 SBs-ish? I agree that 30 SBs is a good bet, but I would be shocked and amazed if McClouth hits 20 HRs. But I do think 20 HRs is possible and 35 SBs is not out of the question. If he can hit .270 he's going to be an awesome value this year. I like him for at least 20-20. Maybe .275 avg.
