Yup... and I was "this close" to cutting him lose, just couldn't pull the trigger.
The morning of Aug 29, I looked at my lineup and said to myself, If McLouth doesn't do anything tonight, he's gone. Gone!
I guess that lit a fire under him.

Why'd you wait so long?!?
.364 with a 4 runs, a homer, and 3 steals in his last 3 games including tonight's game.
Part of the problem previously was that he was sick with some kind of virus, so I'm sure the rest while recovering helped.

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/751 ... JBdEaFCLcF I think I'll definitely be platooning McLouth with Mike Cameron next week when the playoffs start.

The difference between .921 and .653 is fairly significant. Also, he's far more likely to steal bases when a righty is on the mound.
But in a way...I'm also disappointed in myself, I'm sorry Nate, but the logical platoon wins out.

I just made a trade for Soriano last week, putting Soriano in my lineup this week and watching Mclouth get 4 bags (so far) on the bench and Soriano stink. Being in a dogfight for SB's and runs.... ouch. Now I've got a dilemna next week, but with Manny, Granderson, Bay and Soriano, I don't know who I'd sit to activate Mclouth. I would consider Granderson, but he's been on fire.
