Wow it looks like they got Media PLayer Classic jacked up too. it worked last night when VLC wasn't. Thanks MLB.TV I'll probably call today and ask for my money back.

So what you're saying is that they are basically forcing us to use SilverCrap?

Here are your current options:

Silverlight-400k,800k,1.2Mb
Mosaic (uses Silverlight)
Windows Media Player - 400k, 800k

Since there is no point in using WMP. I'll just have to use Mosaic until they get it working. Mosaic @ 1.2 with widescreen (not all games are widescreen via the feed) Looks great except for strange screen tearing.

Anyways I have a 8800gtx which was about 500 bucks a few months ago. It looks good enough.

The fact that I can't use VLC or MPC really stinks. I assume they changed their feed to address quality issues but who knows they may have done it just to make you have to use a Microsoft player.

One crappy thing is that with Mosaic although fullscreen looks really good you have very limited options. I could have 10 games at once with VLC on my widescreen with small pictures or 3 with big pictures.

Now I can have 1 medium and a bunch of smalls or like 6 smalls. Hopefully this gets "addressed" by the hacking community. I've been researching but see no way around it currently.

I may try an external flash player thing

You can give it a shot. I doubt mosaic would work. You used to be able to use VLC to stream the feed back out va IP address and with some port configuring.

This had worked for me in the past with no tricks or gimmicks. So far this year, its been a no-go

Well, I still can't get the 1.2 feeds to work. In mosaic, at any quality level, I get video but no sound.

In the browser, I can get both video and sound for 400/800 but nothing for 1.2.

Why in the heck do they wait until the regular season games before doing adequate testing? It makes no sense at all.

does anyone else have a problem with the stream? ill be able to watch for like 5 minutes but the stream keeps getting cut off and its really annoying. mlbtv is a mess atm
