He was just dropped in my 12 team roto league. Anything wrong with him? Is he worth burning a high waiver priority on?

Other than the fact he isn't a good pitcher and has an injury history nothing is wrong with him. I don't think he'll hold his job but while he is getting saves he still has some value.

The D-Backs may have 2 good starting pitchers (Great even) the rest of their staff is garbage including the pen.

Lyon is regarded by a lot of guys to be the closer most likely to lose his job first. That being said, as of right now he is still the closer for a team that should win a fair amount of games so he should be on someones team in a 12 team league. If you arent dropping anyone of real signifigance I would say go and get him.

Me too - and he hasn't been picked up, whereas Pena is owned. I think you're better off with someone else. While Lyon may be in line for saves, the way he's pitching he's not going to convert many - if any - of his opps. I see no upside to owning him - and Pena will take his spot before the end of April IMO....

Lyon is one of those players who is worth more on your team than in what you can get for him in a trade. Simple as that. His peripherals and history make him that way.

Boy, Lyon's taking a beating on these boards. An undeserved one in my opinion. He certainly looked dominant last night when he came in and K'd two to save the game.
