2008 Opening Day

Postby Yoda » Mon Mar 31, 2008 9:28 am

So who else had a mysterious illness that caused you to call out sick today? :-D

Man I hope that the weather holds up around the country. I'd hate to see a bunch of rainouts today. Looks like a good day for pitchers.

Zimmerman looked great yesterday and the park looks pretty neutral based on the flyballs.

My classes were all canceled today. By me. :-D

I'm pretty excited for Detroit/KC today, if it's televised. I've got alot of Detroit's bashers on my teams this year.

Yeah maybe my concerns about Zim's power this year were blown out of proportion. Great game though, the first 3 games of the season have left me extremely satisfied ;-D

I dont think you can judge how a park plays in March. I will say that I though Teixeira's shot was a no doubter but it hit off the top of the highest wall in the park. I wouldn't be surprised to see that go out in July/August...

No Monday classes for this college student ;-D

I had the foresight and good fortune to hook myself up with a paid day off today. So I am getting paid to watch the offical opening day ;-D ;-D ;-D

espn and mlb should be shot for not finding ways to have the Reds be the first game on our soil. Tradition! I wonder if this is some backlast from the miserable Marge days in Cincy?

Great aint it? ;-D :-D Opening Day is a holiday in my book, nothing I'd rather be doing than just sitting home enjoying the great game of baseball.

If I didn't have to take 2 days off last week for actually being sick, I so would've taken off today. I'll be home in time to catch the Mets, though, so all is not lost. ;-D

I don't have the kind of job where I can call in sick or take personal days off, so I'm at work today. But I plan on working through my lunch break so I can blow out of here early enough to catch most of the Dodgers/Giants game.

Last night's game was a great way to get the season started!
