Call me a homer, but I can't wait to see the Rays verse the Orioles. :-b

Heh, ok I meant games that are interesting for more than just a home team fan standpoint~.

Hunter at the Twins was a really good pick too. That is something I could see going out of my way to see his first AB for at least.

Opening Day at Dodger Stadium is like the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. I wouldn't go as far to say that either is a religious experience, but it's tradition and there's nothing better than Opening Day at the "Ravine". No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

A lot of good storylines to today's games: Torii Hunter's return to Minnesota in an Angels uniform, Yankee Stadium's last home opener, and Johan Santana's first start as a Met really jump out. Being impartial, I'd say the LAA @ MIN, MIL @ CHC, TOR @ NYY, and NYM @ FLA games really jump out. For fantasy purposes, I have great interest in seeing Webb and Harang duel in Cincinnati as I have Harang on most of my redraft teams this year.

It's great if the Mets-Marlins storyline adds excitement to the series. As a Mets fan, I'm not really feeling it. If it had been Rollins or Larry that had made those comments it would be exciting because those teams are relevant. Perhaps it's just fan-hubris on my part but the Marlins aren't relevant so it's hard to get amped about that aspect. The Mets lost SO many games during that dive that even though the Marlins are technically the team that knocked them out, the Mets had dug the grave long before that. I will get amped for the love-hate Mets-Phils-Braves storyline. :-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
