I'd have to guess Pearce. It seems that he has the least working against him.

Would it make sense to throw Rasmus into this discussion, as well? What are his chances of making it up sometime this season?

As far as the other 3 go, I have a very difficult time separating Headley and Pearce, but Bruce is definitely (and unfortunately) number 3 right now.

I have the privilege of getting to see Headley and Antonelli locally this year, and it appears that Headley will be in the bigs very soon. They have him in Portland right now to work on his defense in transitioning to LF. Once he looks more comfortable, then look for him to get the call up.

i just can't see the padres throwing a converted 3rdbaseman w/a month's experience in LF in the heat of a pennant race..his bat is not going to be that much of an upgrade over shairston's and his defense in that big OF could be problematic...IF jedmonds goes down for a lenghty bit o time then he may get a look w/hairston moving to CF...so i look for spearce to get regular PT in june when the buccos move laroche, nady or bay...jay bruce will be a september callup unless griffey or dunn go down w/a major injury
