IP Mins & Maxs

Starting a new league, and we're trying to decide upon a good IPs min/max. We are a 12 team, mixed leagues, 5x5 with 9 pitching slots (13 hitters). We are going with the P classification as opposed to SP/RP/P, and originally we were to follow a 4 SP, 3 RP, 2 P guideline. I'm thinking 1000 ~ 1500 for the min/max is OK, but I'm not quite sure. What are your suggestions?

1000 sounds a little low to me, but it's really just a matter of taste. 1450 maximum with a minimum of half that is my preference; you'll find a lot of folks in favor of a 1250 max as well.
