help with my leagues draft rule

I play in a 10 man HTH league where the winner from last year drafts 10th the next year.
Now these are all friends and some people pick favorites in round 1.

I draft 10 and 11 and know that Arod,pujols,soriano,bonds,sosa,and jeter will go in the 1st.

My question never having drafted 10th is would Beltan and Helton/Thome be good first picks?If botth 1st baseman would be available which one would you choose?

Man, I say let your sucker friends take Bonds, Sosa and Jeter in the 1st. They are wasting their 1st rounder if you ask me! If you plan on not taking a pitcher until later, then I would definately go Beltran and then Helton. I like him over Thome. Of course my "buddies league" also counts batter K's and OBP, making Helton infinately more valuable than Thome..... In our draft, Big Jim is more of a 3rd rounder; in 5x5 he is a possible 1st or 2nd......

I agree that Beltran and Helton would be the way to go...but another thought...if Prior falls to the 10/11 spot...that would be another good option....
