Can't find him on Yahoo, what gives? I have #2 waiver priority and figure I'll use it on him when he becomes available, as I assume he will be at some point. Also, Wickman is nowhere to be found. If I could add both, I'd be in good shape.

I can only guess that it's because both missed the entire 2003 seasons. Yahoo will add them sooner or later for people to take gambles on.

Unless you really need closers i would suggest using that waiver spot for K. Matsui when he becomes available.

I would guess he becomes available in the next few days.....
I agree with the waiver point; don't waste it on players like that. I am in the #5 waiver spot in both of my Yahoo public leagues and I'm hoping the people below me all put in requests, so it moves me up to the #1 hole......

Thanks for the advice, I think I will use my priority on Kaz and move Reyes to 2nd as soon as he becomes eligible. People probably won't be lining up to grab Nen, though I do look for him to have a 30+save season this year.

Somoene just dropped Kolb to pick up Harden. Kolb was pretty lights out last year, use the waiver priority on Kolb or wait for Kaz?

Considering he has #2 waiver priority, I would give the advantage to the person with #1 waiver priority to get Matsui. Look at the person's SS and see if it's logical that that is who #1 is going after. Good luck getting him.

I guess it really depends on your roster makeup.
Who's your second baseman now? You mentioned that you would switch Reyes over to second. If moving Reyes to second would be an upgrade over what you're using there now, then i think i would pick up Kaz over Kolb (assuming the guy with the #1 waiver spot doesn't take him first).

And considering a significant amount of people that play these leagues aren't well enough informed and don't take the league seriously, i think the odds are in his favor to get him.

I think you're onto it Fumbler. I don't anticipate that any random owner of number 1 waiver priority is likely to put in a claim for a late added player like Kaz. Likewise I see Nen likely falling under radar. That being said, if the choice is to grab Kolb for sure now and have a far reduced chance to grab Kaz, I think I'd rather have almost a lock for Kaz and a solid shot at Nen. Especially considering my current 2B is *cough*
Eric young *cough*
