Hey guys:

I am kind of out of the loop, but what is the story with Crede? Is he healthy? Forgot how to hit or what?
He is on the wire and am wondering why.

This could have been in another forum, but I am just looking for an update on him.

I believe he is healthy and the starting 3B for the Chi-Sox. He was starting in the ST game today and had an error. Might take him a bit to get up to speed. I was never high on Crede though. Depends on how big your league is too.

Crede will begin the season as the Sox starting thirdbaseman. He claims to be feeling great and says he's just trying to get his timing back. He's had a poor spring offensively but I believe he's always been a slow starter.
Josh Fields has been sent to AAA so Crede will be in the lineup until he gets traded or reinjured.
The Sox are desperately trying to trade him to make room for Fields but it looks like he'll have to prove he's healthy in the regular season before they can come close to getting value for him.
IMO a trade to a less hitter friendly home ballpark would lower Crede's fantasy value which was never that high to begin with.

Any guesses on when Fields will get called back up?

Someone just dropped him in my league and I'm a little thin at 3B (Beltre/Kouzmanoff)

Was thinking of picking him up and stashing him.

Do you have huge benches or do you just like to keep 3 third basemen in a 12-team league (assuming your league is in your sig...)?

I don't even have a backup for Miggy...

My bench isn't huge (6 spots) but 3B is by far my weakest position with a lot of question marks.

Beltre (torn wrist ligament) - gonna play through it but who knows how he'll perform.
Kouzmanoff - Im not quite sold on him but he was the best backup available.
Fields - I prefer him over Kouz but right now he's in the minors.

I have no problem holding 3 3rd baseman and waiting to see which one comes through for me. Depth at your weakest position is never a bad idea.

If I had Miggy, I wouldn't require a backup either. But I don't.
