When I read the topic title -- I was gonna say the strategy should be 'Take Bonds', but if you plan on keeping the 4th pick -- I'd take Helton.
Perhaps try trading the pick?? Bonds will always go lower than normal (even in a league where he's perhaps the #1 overall player).

I'm not a Bonds fan, and he can be risky for all the reasons mentioned above, but he is the king of OBP. Grab him and hope he doesn't get knocked off his perch this year.
It's better to give up on Bonds a year too late than a year too soon.
It's time to roll the dice.
