I tend to agree with TML. Let me emphasize that I am not reprimanding the original poster or those who agree with him. Karma aside, TML is entirely correct on this point...

I just wouldn’t expect that person to ever trade with you again.

There is a strategic disadvantage to being perceived, rightly or wrongly, as a swindler.

Dropping Escobar would be a wonderful idea, i think he wil decide to have the surgery. Drop/Trade this guy if you can or under no circumstances draft him, there are plenty of other pitchers out there who will put better number than Escobar, especially if he comes back from his injury, his stuff wont be nearly as good.

Escobar sure did screw up my rotation...I'll just have to find a gem or three throughout the year on the waiver wire and hope for the best.

You’re obviously trying to trade him before other people find out. That tends to piss people off. If you’re playing with friends or co-workers, probably not a good idea. Online league with strangers? Your call. I just wouldn’t expect that person to ever trade with you again.

I agree. Trading injured players is lame. but... trading for an injured player and not doing your homework is just plain dumb! I really dont think bookie was implying that was his plan anyway. afterall he did make a post about the injury.
