SHHHH get rid of ESCOBAR

Postby bookie » Wed Mar 26, 2008 3:54 pm

Heard this guy might get season ending surgery. news hasnt hit yahoo yet. Kelvim Escobar revealed Wednesday that he has a tear in his right shoulder that could require season-ending surgery.

Escobar ceased throwing after experiencing discomfort in his shoulder Sunday. "I'm concerned, I don't know what's going to happen, I don't even know if I'll be able to pitch again," Escobar said. "I'm still young. I'll be 32 in two weeks, but retirement is getting into my head, because it's hard to rehab. I want to be out there playing, and I've done everything I can do to be healthy." According to the Los Angeles Times, Escobar plans to see if two weeks off improve his shoulder before likely seeing a specialist to determine whether surgery is necessary. Mar. 26 - 2:54 pm et

This is a gutless move in my opinion. If he's going to have season ending surgery and it "hasn't hit Yahoo yet" its pretty classless to shop him around in hopes of dumping him before news breaks. Karma's a bitch.

Hey, not like it's TOP SECRET news and he's doing insider trading. Everyone has access to the news on Escobar. All's fair in war!

Deal him if you can. Is it classless if Escobar was your best friend and he revealed this to you?
His news is all over the wire. If someone doesn't catch it, then shame on them.

You’re obviously trying to trade him before other people find out. That tends to piss people off. If you’re playing with friends or co-workers, probably not a good idea. Online league with strangers? Your call. I just wouldn’t expect that person to ever trade with you again.

He was suppose to be my #2. I think I'll shove McGowan or Bonderman in that role and pick up Kershaw or Cueto when he's available in yahoo. Maybe I'll just pick up Maddux
Fantasy player since '99.

"That's what she said!"
