Carlos Gomez left Wednesday's game in the fifth inning with an apparent left leg injury.
After going into the left-center field gap to haul in a fly ball, Gomez grabbed his leg and was eventually removed from the game following a visit from the training staff. Nick Punto replaced him in center field, but if Gomez requires a stint on the disabled list the Twins figure to turn to Denard Span.
I know he is an uber-sleeper on some people's list. Just like to notify you guys. I had him on my scout team, but someone picked him up. I remember Jose Reyes saying Gomez could beat him in a race.

Carlos Gomez is considered day-to-day with a left hamstring cramp.
He had an issue with the same hamstring last year and missed three days. On the off chance that he's not ready for Opening Day, the Twins would call up Jason Pridie or Denard Span.
