What does my team need? - WHIR!

I posted my roster Monday, but I wanted to see if anybody had anything new to say. My basic questions are: what are my teams strengths and weaknesses and what, if anything does my team need? ps - I have an extra roster spot, I'll list that as empty.

Other then having 3 Yankees in your INF your major need IMO is Starting Pitching. You only have 3 starters so I would look at the waiver wire and see if someone is out there but you may have to trade to get someone that wont hurt you in other stats.

Your offense is definitely good, though I don't think Posada will put up the numbers he did last year, but he will still be good. You Pitching definitely does need help. Get rid of Broxton as you don't need HLDS and he isnt really going to do much for you. Also get rid of Borowski....EW. He is a terrible closer and will likely lose his closing job soon. (and he will raise your ERA) Look for a solid Pitcher or 2. You might have to trade for one, but for now look on the waiver. Hope I helped. GOOD LUCK!!

I WOULD LOOK INTO ANOTHER STARTER PITCHER-BUT MAYBE WAIT AND SEE WHAT IS AVAILABLE AFTER THE 1ST WEEK-ALOT OF CHANGES AND SURPRISES WILL UNFOLD THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF APRIL.

Closers always have value, so you should be able to get a decent starter for Borowski. I'd go ahead and try. I like the balance of your offense.

Offensively your team looks very sound, you need to add depth to SP. Trade a reliever or an extra bat for another solid starter, it's a must do situation. Other than that I really like the overall balanced of your team, hitting wise and on the mound.

I'm thinking Francoeur and Swisher are due for big big years.....hamilton too if he stays healthy

So I'd suggest targeting a starting pitcher you like that you're willing to trade Franc., Hawpe, Swish, or Hamilton for....whichever one gets you the pitcher you like.

I think Hawpe is obviously your best chance...since he put up the numbers last year, so he might get you the best starter.

But if you can't get a top starter for him, I'd try to move one of the other guys (Hamilton if you can cause of injury risk) for someone good and solid.
