Fair enough.... Shea stadium will keep that around 25 points of slugging pct. vs.the 75 though.
again, I only used Cedeno, cus he is a Met, to help drive home the point of 21 year old prospects. Reyes may turn out to be all that he is advertised. Its still way to early to tell. If I had to gamble on an MI, it sure won't be a Met.. Just my opinion ..
Maybe...I think predicting power may be the toughest thing with a young player. Some guys do just fill out from age 21 to 25 and singles become doubles and doubled become dingers. Five years from now Reyes could be Cedeno. He could also be Tejada.

Scott is 5-7 with 127 professional innings pitched. Its a little early to call him the next Kerry Wood. yes he has a few K's for a 19 year old kid, Butits waaay to early ..
Reyes is a career .288 minor league hitter with no power. That projects to a speedy .270 hitter in the MLB. So basically he projects to be another Roger Cedeno
but the problem here is ..... They will be playing for the Mets. And drafting too many Mets is Roto suicide. usually my limit is one. I'll take the one behind the plate.
Ohh, maybe we should draft a bunch of Padres???? Are they telling thier fans they will COMPETE??? WHAT A JOKE!!!!
SD Padres are between 20/1 and 25/1 to win the WS, and between 10/1 and 12/1 to win the NL Pennant. Some casinos have them as high as 2/1 to win the NL West. This doesn't prove anything, except that Vegas is willing to put some money down that the Padres have a shot. I think they are the dark horse to take the NL Pennant. I've never bet on sports, and don't plan on starting, but those odds seem pretty good to me ...

Trading for Zambrano wouldn't be a bad idea. Perhaps that was one of the reasons behind signing Maddux.
And if the Rangers got Zambrano, he could be joined by Wood next year! (Maybe they'd just trade Soriano for Wood ... )
And then either Hudson, Mulder or Zito soon after.

mets want him .. they need pitchin.. soriano for leiter and heilman.. we save money have soriano play 3rd.. and have alot of money to spend next year on pitching .. oh what a dream
Wood is from Grand Prairie which is about 5 minutes away from the Ballpark in Arlington and The Rangers will be spending money, I'd say that gives the Rangers a leg up on the Mets. plus its New York.
