Weak 1B, SS and SP!? - Advice Needed! - WHIR!

I know my obvious needs are at SS, SP, and 1B. I need help figuring out how to work out a trade though. My strength I would say is my OF, but I don't know if I should play Guillen at 1B and trade for a SS or play Guillen at SS and trade for a 1B. I would think the second option, but who would I trade? Keep this in mind: One person in my league has Pujols, Berkman, Morneau, Konerko, V Mart, and Alex Gordon and can use help in the OF. Maybe I should try to deal one of my best OF for a good 1B and SP? IDK! Who should I try to deal and who for? If not an exact trade, at least give me what caliber of players, etc. Leave your link!

Play Guillen or Kinsler at SS, or even trade Guillen and Rios/Matsui for a solid 1st baseman and you should be pretty set at that position

guillen needs to play ss, that's where he is most valuable.
you've got a really good team, you could start by offering rios straight up for berkman, i'd add matsui to that deal with you getting back another player as well - if the berkman owner wants more

If you can't trade up for a SP:

Keep your eye on Meche and Kennedy for a sleeper SP... Meche is the Ace in KC, if he's gotten over his stage fright, he's got really good stuff and could put together a solid season. And Kennedy will be in the Yanks rotation. At some point Moose will break down and Kennedy will be seeing more innings.

Agree with above: Guillen needs to start at SS; Hart and Wells are your two big bargaining chips since they're on the bench now....start shopping: Konerko can be the cheap, solid 1B you want (think roughly equal to Wells value)

Playing Guillen is a must at SS even though he is really playing 1B. You gotta take advantage of the rules....

I agree with the advice others have already given. Guillen needs to be at SS. He's only an average 1B, but he's a really good option at short. See what you can get for an OFs

As far as pitching, your SP have some talent, but there have to be better options out there than Gorzelanny. It's only an 8 team league. He's a good pitcher in real life, but he doesn't put up the numbers you need for fantasy. He plays for the Bucs so he isn't going to get very many wins and he doesn't exactly get a lot of K's or have a spectacular ERA or WHIP. I have to think there someone that you can claim to upgrade that position.

I'd have to say trade Hardy and Rios for a solid 1B. switch Guillan to SS (as you will get more value out of him there anyways) and put in one of your other very good OF for yourself.You're SP will be fine once Beckett and Gallardo are back in action, and until then just hang tight with the pitching you have.
