Anyone have thoughts on the type of season Lieberthal could have?? Will the new additions up his numbers???

he is coming back from reconstructive knee surgery. look for this:
.290 avg., 45 runs, 15 hr's, 50 rbi's

With the new additions to the lineup, Lieberthal will bat further down in the lineup. Less ABs, less stats.

I predict that his reconstructed knees won't hold up and he'll miss a lot of time with injuries. I predict that he's not worth wasting a spot on because of that.

I agree. He will be lucky to hit .260 and play 100 games.

Actually, this is Lieberthal's second season after knee surgery. He played in 130 games last year. Not bad for a catcher with bum knees.

Those numbers sound about right for what I was thinking this season.
