Good read. As long as Dodger Stadium has all-you-can-eat seats (and at night games because you'll fry in the bleachers), it offsets the $15 parking fee and we're talking about $6-10 tickets per person. I think it's a neat idea considering Frank McCourt thinks his priority as Dodger owner is to turn a profit, but haven't tried it myself.
I usually go to Dodger games these days in the luxury suites because one of my former employer's clients that supplied our Oracle system gives away free tickets from time to time. It's somewhere along the 1B line and has a sweet view and not to mention, there are some fine chicks in the box next to us. But yes, given the high prices and the perks of free Dodger tickets drives me away from paying a cent to McCourt.
Is the third heading a typo or am I just reading it wrong? What does "Paying the above $152 million..." mean?
Good read otherwise. Madison, you have a good 'voice' when you write. Very readable.
Forgot to add - I am totally with you on the cost of going to a game. It's ridiculous. I want to take my girl to see some games in the next year or two, and the cost of the game plus food plus souvenir plus parking is going to be nearly what gas plus hotel costs to get there! It's crazy. We've got a nice ballpark and an Independent league team here in town, so that gives us our summer baseball fix, but even they cost $20 for soda, hot dog & beer. So they get you everywhere you go.

Two of the subtitles ran together. Just check out the bolded parts. See the "152 double-cheeseburgers" subtitle? The paragraph below it is about Miggy C's $152 million contract. The next subtitle is "paying the above $152 million", and shows the crazy prices that are needed to pay contracts like the one Miggy C got. I thought it flowed and connected the two things fairly well.
Thanks for the kind words guys.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Maybe it's one of those "frame of mind" things. It was just not clicking at all, and I had read the caption above it. Go look at that spinning dancer pic I posted in the Funny Pictures thread. Maybe it's like that - depends on your frame of mind when you first look.
Or I could just be sleep-deprived and have no brain. Either way.

2 innings, 0 hits, 1 walk, 0 ER, 1 K for Fukumori today to add to his impressive spring line.
As a Ranger fan, I couldn't be happier about it.

Ouch of course, those aren't even "good" tickets, just the average.
Have to admit I didn't figure the Diamondbacks had the cheapest average ticket price. Learned something. Thanks Knapp!
