The Jury wrote:Al Leiter has been the ace of a pitching staff for the last few years. Now that the Mets have acquired a new ace in Tom Glavine, they essentially have to "ace" caliber pitchers. With Glavine starting opening day and facing most of the other aces around teh league and Leiter at the 2 spot now facing some easier pitchers, do you think Leiter will have as good as season or maybe even better than Glavine?

I feel Leiter does better when he's the No. 2 guy. I think his stats show this. I'm not 100% sure though. I think that 1-2 punch is gonna be awsome this year!

I have Leiter and Glavine on one of my teams..I can't wait to see how that combo will turn out considering they are my #3 and 4 pitchers.

I read on cnnsi.com that Floyd came into camp in great shape. The writer suggested that he could live up to his potential this year the way he's been stinging balls and playing hard.

The Mets pitching could be greatly improved this year if Glavine can keep pitching like he has started and also if Yates can be as good as his 1st outing for the remainder of the season.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

the addition of pedro will help this year, but if benson does not step up to #2 status it will not be enough.....

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
