WHIR 10 Team H2H Tell me what you think!

Postby KrunK » Sun Mar 23, 2008 3:36 pm

Alright, the computer did all of the work for me (I was driving home from the dorms for easter weekend with the fam) and I like what I see, my pitching kind of scares me though. 10 Team H2H (yahoo) R, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, IP, W, L, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/9.

I've got
AJ Pierz. at C
Ryan Howard 1B
Chase Utley 2B
A-RAM 3B
Michael Young SS
BJ Upton OF
E. Byrnes OF
Brad Hawpe OF
R. Cano at Utility
BN: Johnny Damon, James Loney, O-Dawg, and Troy Glaus.

Pitching:
Haren
Big Z
Dice-K
Brett Myers
John Maine
Todd Jones
Manny Corpas
Rafeal Soriano

My ERA is not going to be pretty, but saves and wins look to be pretty good. My pitching is looking a lot bit better now that I think about it, I just hope Zambrano can get his crap together and be consistent. As long as I don't go down the same fantasy pitching road that hit me last year, Chris Carpenter-Felix Hernandez-Randy Johnson didn't turn out so well :-b

I want to try and dump a reliever for James Shields (the player with him is real short at RP), he was one of my WW studs last season and we have the same last name..

I think your ERA might actually be OK. Haren is going to have a big year, coming over from the AL (something like a 2.20 ERA against the NL last year). And I think Zambrano can improve on his ERA from last year, he got off to a horrible start. Dice-K should also be a bit over last years numbers. I would probably lose Jones for Shields, I think he's a good pickup for this season, and Jones will kill you in ERA and WHIP. The only thing that he has going for him right now is that there is no one else (right now). I think that if Zumaya was firing healthy he would have the job by now. Just my opinion. Good luck!

looks good, i would say your pitching is fine. zam should be better, haren is great, dicek should improve, maine should get better too. keep an eye on myers but he was really good as a starter a couple of years ago. so with your pitching, i see starters that all could easily get better from last season.

only weakness that sticks out is team speed. if odawg is orlando hudson, i dont see any reason to keep him with utley and cano on your team, maybe you can drop him for a speed guy like mcclouth, bourne, taveras, rajai davis or owens from chi.

good luck
