Keeper League Year 2, WHIR

Postby jeffXedge » Sun Mar 23, 2008 11:36 am

Ok, in this keeper league you can keep up to 3 players and I decided to keep Mark Texeira, Brandon Webb, and Matt Holliday.

Here is my team:

C - Jarrod Saltalamacchia (too young, got him in one of last rounds I think I should try getting another catcher)

1B - Mark Teixeira (my keeper, expecting a pretty good year considering he did better after the NL switch)

2B - Brian Roberts

3B - Amaris Ramirez (Hopefully no injuries this year)

SS - Michael Young

OF - Alex Rios (also a potential keeper)

OF - Carlos Beltran (potential keeper

OF - Matt Holliday (one of my keepers)

UTIL - Delmon Young (hopefully he can finally live up to at least half of the hype?)

Bench - OF - Jason Bay

Bench - OF - Andruw Jones (got him very late, i consider this a steal)

Bench - 3B - Alex Gordon

Bench - 2B - Howie Kendrick

Bench - 1B - James Loney

P - Brandon Webb (my final keeper)

P - John Smoltz (hopefully isn't injured too long)

P - Fausto Carmona

P - Pedro Martinez

P - J.J. Putz

P - Rafael Soriano

Bench - Derek Lowe

That's a pretty sick team. You should be fine. Perhaps drop a bench player for another pitcher

Here's mine.

I'd definitely drop Salty. He may even start the year in the minors. There are defintely better catchers out there. Molina, Soto, Towles, Ruiz.

You need more pitching. It would suck to have to drop some of the guys on your bench because I like most of them, but you really need more pitching depth.
