Please rate my $ league team (WHIR)

12 teams, standard 5x5, roto. This was easily the weirdest draft I have ever been a part of. I've never seen so much pitching go so early in my life. Vazquez, Hill, Lincecum, and Dice-K all went in the 6th. Much earlier than their ADP. On top of that there were players who fell way too far (you will see where I got Morneau), Michael Young went in the 10th, Konerko in the 11th, etc. Just weird. On to my team:

1. (7) Matt Holliday OF
2. (18) Ryan Howard 1B
3. (31) Magglio Ordóñez OF
4. (42) Garrett Atkins 1B,3B
5. (55) Robinson Canó 2B
6. (66) Justin Morneau 1B
7. (79) Miguel Tejada SS
8. (90) Brad Hawpe OF
9. (103) Ben Sheets P
10. (114) Matt Cain P
11. (127) Fausto Carmona P
12. (138) John Maine P
13. (151) Kelvim Escobar P
14. (162) Troy Percival P
15. (175) Jeremy Accardo P
16. (186) Kerry Wood P
17. (199) Brandon Lyon P
18. (210) Tony Peña P
19. (223) Michael Bourn OF
20. (234) Heath Bell P
21. (247) Ramón Hernández C

C- Hernandez
1B- Howard
2B- Cano
3B- Atkins
SS- Tejada
OF- Holliday
OF- Ordonez
OF- Hawpe
UTIL- Morneau
BN- Bourn

SP- Sheets, Cain, Carmona, Maine, Escobar
RP- Percival, Accardo, Wood, Lyon, Pena, Bell

I like your hitters, and you don't have much speed so it's good to have Bourne. You also have decent pitching, but I think you can start the season and see where you end up. Last year I took Kelvim in the 18th and he was money. Obviously that won't happen this year, but it might be good to sit tight for a month.

I had a similar draft where the top pitching and high upside players went really early. After I picked my bats, that left me with middle level pitchers, and bottom barrel closers that I was glad to pick up. But now, I'm wondering about my team depth. Let me know what you do because it will probably be helpful for me. Help? viewtopic.php?f=29&t=329777

While I agree you did the best thing (get the BPA), I just feel you're missing a true ace on your pitching staff. Granted it couldn't be helped, but eventually down the road you're going to need one. Waiting until the 9th to begin getting pitchers would scare me.

Awesome lineup, you'll definitely be doing fine in the O categories, I probably would have reached after watching all the good pitchers come off the board in the 5th or 6th round to get a somewhat of a good ace pitcher(something in the Haren, Smoltz, Oswalt territory).

I'd wait the first month and maybe you can try to buy low on high-end pitchers on the DL (Lackey, Kazmir) with a very hot bat.

I actually like your staff for a 12 teamer.

Granted you don't really have an "ace" but I think Maine,Cain,Carmona and Sheets(if he can stay healthy) will have a good year.

You could use some speed so Id try and get Bourne into your lineup somehow.

You already have Howard at 1B so maybe package up Morneau plus someone else for an upgrade at SS or for Hawpe in the OF.

Mine if you can:

I think its been all said in the post above...solid hitting team with good pitching. Not the 'ace' SP but don't think you will need it. Good luck..I'd stand pat
