Good team...but is it GREAT??? WHIR

Another keeper league here...5x5, 10 team, head-2-head, 7 keepers this season. The draft was a pain in the ass because I'm commish and we wanted a straight draft (which Yahoo doesn't offer) so I ran an offline draft that ended up killing my ability to do research. I'm not enamored with the team, but it looks to be very good--top half in the league at least. What are your thoughts?

Encarnacion might go in favor of another SP, but other than that I think I'm pleased with the squad. Second half, once Chamberlain gets a rotations spot, I should be in better shape. What do you think? Thanks

Very solid team! It looks like you must have been in the top half of the straight draft because there are all-star caliber players in every position except for catcher and Towles could surprise (I've got him too ). I have tried to convince my league mates to try this style of draft but every one likes the snake draft concept.

Great team. I agree with your thought about Encarnacion. Unless he really turns it around he'll be on your bench all year.

Yeah, I drafted 4th overall (after a very, very disappointing year last year), so that helped. But my keepers were very solid too--Howard, Phillips, Figgins, Vlad, Sizemore, Beckett, Hamels.

I told myself I was going to wait on catcher for whoever is left of Towles and Soto. I've done this in the past--waited on Martin last season, and waited on Willingham (when he had C eligibility) in '06, and it worked out great. If it doesn't work out then I'm going to just keep active on the FA market, pick up whoever's hot at the C position.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else? Where can I improve?
